MOSCOW, Jul 21 (PRIME) -- Russia and Kazakhstan have signed an agreement for construction of a plant of mineral fertilizer producer EuroChem in the Jambyl Region of Kazakhstan, the Industry and Trade Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
"Investment has amounted so far to about U.S. $270 million, about $600 million more must be invested," the statement read. The ministry said that EuroChem has fulfilled the first stage of the project, including the start of development of a deposit and the launch of an ore-dressing plant making 640,000 tonnes of phosphate powder.
The total capacity of the plant is planned at no less than 1 million tonnes. Construction of the plant is to be finished by 2025.
